Remember the days in the 1980s when using a computer seemed like something straight out of a sci-fi movie? Well, those days are long gone, and every home and office has one.

I’ve been playing around with ChatGPT since it was launched. It offers a blend of fun, creativity, curiosity and learning. Allow me to share my experience and why you might want to give it a try too.

I've always loved writing, but there are times when the words just don't flow. That's where ChatGPT came in. It became my virtual assistant, helping me brainstorm information and even offering up the models of the trains used between Paris and Brussels in the 1920's.

Did it really help with the writing block? Not really, No.

It’s unlikely to replace the human imagination, and with it, the twists, turns and quirky dialogue that only the human brain can recall, and create and bring to storytelling. But just as the computer replaced hand-scripted manuscripts, AI will allow you to research without disappearing down to the library.

I'll admit, I'm no AI expert, but playing with ChatGPT has been like taking a hands-on crash course in AI. It's given me a glimpse into how machines can understand and respond to human language.

The best part? You don't need to be a tech expert to dive into ChatGPT. It's accessible to anyone, even those of us who still struggle with the TV remote (guilty as charged!).

ChatGPT has become more than just a fun pastime for me; it's a tool that's helped with my grammar and puntuation, ignited my interest in AI, and even given me a pitch to make to you all out there.

AI is out, and this genie won’t fit back into anyone’s bottle again. Yes, we must control it, and the companies are doing an adequate job of regulating it. The politicians will catch up eventually and make it part of governmental regulation.

If you're curious about technology, love to learn, or just want to see where the world is headed, why not give ChatGPT a whirl? If you can use a computer or mobile phone, you can use ChatGPT or any of the other AI application out there.So go ahead, play around, ask it a question, or write a story with it. It’s not going away. If anything, as with the calculator and then the computer, it WILL become a large part of your both your home and working life.
